RenoLog

Privacy Policy

Effective 14 August 2026

RenoLog is operated by vey.studio, based in Singapore ("we", "us"). RenoLog is an app that interior design firms use to document renovation progress with photo updates, and that homeowners use to follow that progress. This policy explains what information RenoLog handles, why, and what control you have over it.

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service — an email address and display name for firm team members, and the project records that firms create. Homeowners who join a project with an access code are anonymous to us. We don't run analytics or advertising, we don't track you, and we don't sell or share data for any commercial purpose.

Information we collect

Firm team members

When a design firm opens an account with us, we store each team member's email address, a display name, and sign-in credentials. Sign-in works by email verification code or password; we never see or store plain-text passwords.

Homeowners

Project records

Firms create the content of RenoLog: the property address, a renovation checklist, site photos, notes, and the timestamps of each update. This information describes a renovation project. It is entered and controlled by the firm running the project, and we process it on the firm's behalf to provide the service.

What we don't collect

How we use information

We use the information above for exactly one purpose: operating RenoLog — signing you in, storing and displaying project records to the people authorized to see them, and sending sign-in codes by email. We do not use it for marketing, profiling, or advertising, and we do not sell it.

Share links

Firms and homeowners can share a link to a project node (for example, over WhatsApp). Anyone who holds such a link can see a public preview page showing the node's most recent photo and the project title. The preview is deliberately limited: the full set of photos and updates stays inside the app and remains protected by the project's access controls. Treat share links like photos you'd forward — share them only with people you'd show the photo to.

Sharing happens through your device's own share sheet. We do not send any data to WhatsApp or any other messaging service; you choose where the link goes.

Where information is stored

RenoLog runs on infrastructure provided by a small number of service providers, each used solely to operate the service:

The app also keeps a local cache of photos on your device so projects load quickly and remain viewable offline. You can clear this cache from the app's settings; it never leaves your device.

Retention and record integrity

RenoLog is designed to be a trustworthy record. Each photo update can be edited by its author or a firm admin for 48 hours after posting; after that it is locked for everyone, including us. This is intentional — it is what makes the archive dependable for both firms and homeowners.

Project records are retained as the firm's project archive for as long as the firm's arrangement with us provides, typically up to six years, after which they are deleted. Personal account information (email, display name) is kept only while the account exists.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the app at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal information — your email address and display name.

Photo updates posted to a firm's project are part of that firm's project record, and the integrity of those records is a core commitment of the service. When an account is deleted, the records themselves remain in the firm's archive, but they are no longer linked to you: authorship is anonymized.

If you joined a project with an access code, there is no account and no personal information to delete — signing out ends the session.

Your rights

We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing wendyhuang@renolog.app. For questions about the content of a specific renovation project, the design firm running that project is usually the right first contact, since the records are theirs.

Children

RenoLog is a tool for renovation professionals and homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
